A World record setting “most courses played in a year event” (Goal 416+ courses in 365 days) to raise $1 million dollars for charity

The tour raises money several ways and donations will be made to:

  • Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) of Canada
  • Individual participating Ronald McDonald Houses in the USA
  • Kin Clubs of Canada local projects

The Canadian portion of this North American tour runs from April 1, 2008 in Victoria British Columbia ending Sept 30, 2008 in St John’s Newfoundland.

The tour will then head south through Portland Maine to South Carolina where we will play 40 or so more courses then south to Florida where we will play another 100 or so courses before heading west through Texas and Arizona to California where we will finish in March 2009.

After playing more than 400 courses, the current world record is 383 courses, held by Glen Turner www.worldrecordgolftour.com , the tour will head back to Karbon world headquarters in Toronto.

Founding sponsor of the tour, Karbon has made a pledge of $4 per polo shirt sold in Canada during all of 2008 will go directly to Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) of Canada

KarbonGolf polos sold in the US either through the Tournament package or in conjunction with the  tour will benefit a participating Ronald McDonald House® (RMHC®) of Canada.

If the tour could generate sales of 2008 tournaments kit orders and or corporate purchases of 140 or more shirts in 2008, the program would generate (2008 x 140 = 281,120 shirts x $4 = $1,124,480) more than a million dollars for charity on the polo shirt program alone…

In Canada the tour will

  • Play a minimum of 8 courses per week that meet Guiness World Record standards (18 holes – minimum 6000 yards) putting us on 416 course pace
  • Rank each course for ScoreGolf Magazine

Regardless of where it is purchased,  every shirt sold in Canada in 2008 raises $4 each for  Ronald McDonald House® (RMHC®) of Canada
  • Provide our local host (Usually a Kin Club of Canada - Sometimes a Ronald McDonald House) a set of irons donated by Warrior Custom Golf to provide another donation opportunity for the chosen charities. The local Kin Club or Ronald McDonald House® may use the clubs any way they see fit to raise money.
